BeadStyle Magazine: September 2007

In the September issue of BeadStyle Magazine, I offer another option of using the electroformed leaves in a multi-strand necklace. This is a wonderful way to celebrate nature, the coming fall season and feature some beautiful leaves.   Make this as a single strand with just as much impact. And although I've used nine leaves in my necklace, you can alter your design to 3, 5 or 7 leaves. Beautiful variations can also be made with the silver or gold electroformed leaves. Or why not try a bi-metal look. I recommend, gold with silver or  gold with rose gold leaves.   Please note that the project photos are materials that BeadStyle staff designer chose and used for the step by step photos. My design is on the first page (shown above) and utilizes my own borosilicate beads with vermeil findings. I recommend vermeil over copper findings for a more luscious necklace.  If you'd like to know my resources, just send me an email.  Please note that rose gold leaves will patina overtime from deep burgundy to more golden with age.  That is why vermeil accents create such a luscious and rich look.
